St. Louis Restaurant Directory

The following restaurants have gained the Sociable Celiac stamp of approval. Always make sure to call ahead when visiting new places to make sure ingredients, procedures, and practices haven’t changed. Check out the map below to see where each restaurant is located. Enjoy!

  • Bailey’s Range is a great little burger spot with a dedicated fryer so you can eat all the french fries your GF heart desires. The buns aren’t the best quality but it is nice to have the option.
  • Benton Park Cafe have new owners and have significantly upgraded their GF options!
  • Brick River Cider
  • Britt’s Bakehouse is a 100% gluten free bakery in Kirkwood. A non-gf eater would literally never know she is that good. Go early because she sells out!
  • City Foundry STL is a food hall in Midtown with several gluten free options. Some of my favorites are Kalbi’s Taco Shack and Hello Poke. Their GF option on the website is sometimes incorrect so check with the vendors before ordering.
  • Corner Pub and Grill  This is one of my favorite places to get your classic bar foods. They have a dedicated gluten free menu to honor the owner’s daughter Hannah who has celiac disease.
  • Crushed Red They call themselves artisan fast and I would have to agree. They have amazing pizza’s and salads. However, they are more expensive than other quick serve restaurants.
  • Extra Wavy menu does not mark GF items but they have GF bread, pasta, and breadcrumbs.
  • Little Fox is an amazing upscale spot that really gets gluten free. Their brunch is to die for but it is on the pricer side. One of the owners is gluten free too!
  • Lona’s Lil Eats An adorable Asian fusion restaurant that all humans need to experience.
  • Louie’s Wine Dive is located in Clayton and has a great menu marked with all the GF food and food that can be modified to be GF. AND they have a dedicated fryer.
  • Motor Town Pizza this is a new pizza concept by the folks over at Revel Kitchen. You can get a take and bake or order them fresh. They do not disappoint!!!!
  • Peacemaker Lobster Crab Co. This is a date-night staple. It’s not cheap but is so worth it. Sam and I live down the block from here and dream about it daily. I mean how can you go wrong with a fat lobster and some delicious cocktails.
  • Piece’s STL is a board game bar in the Soulard neighborhood and they have SO many gluten free options. They will sub their pita breads for chips (s/o to the spinach artichoke dip) and have options all across their menu to make things Gluten Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian.
  • Peel Wood-Fired Pizza (Clayton/Illinois side) Menu is clearly marked for gf items. They have really good pizza and wings!
  • Poke Doke is my go-to uber eats/door dash option.
  • Retreat Gastropub doesn’t publicize their gluten free menu but has a dedicated fryer and gluten free buns.
  • Revel Kitchen Awesome little place but not as cheap as you would expect. Great food and amazing cold press juices.
  • Rigazzi’s on the Hill had such a huge gluten free menu I had the hardest time picking out what to eat. They have pizza, pasta, and garlic bread and super safe kitchen practices.
  • Rooster Gluten free crepes… need I say more? Great brunch spot that also has vegan options.
  • The Shaved Duck delicious BBQ with extremely knowledgeable staff.
  • Sasha’s/Scarlett’s There are 2 Sasha locations and one Scarlett’s all owned by the same people. I have had great experiences at all (Check out Sasha’s On Shaw Sunday Brunch) there are not a ton of options at each but the staff has been knowledgeable and helpful.
  • Sidney Street Cafe is by the same folks at Peacemaker. This is fine dining and they know their stuff.
  • Stacked STL has one of the best gluten free buns I have ever had. Their fryer isn’t celiac safe but the applesauce more than makes up for it.
  • Square One Brewery this one came as a shock to me. Brewery in the name usually means we are getting a cheese tray, but SQ1 has an awesome gluten free menu and GF bun!!
  • SweetArt STL is an adorable cafe with yummy coffee and delicious desserts.
  • Taco Buddha the entire menu is gluten free except the flour tortillas!! Gluten free FRIED FISH TACOS!!!!
  • The Golden Hoosier the owners have celiac disease in their family so they know what’s up. Their friend chicken sandwich is to DIE for. They also own Bud’s Pizza just down the street.
  • UKraft is my lunch usual lunch spot on weekdays. Healthy options like salads and grain bowls plus gluten free buns for their sandwiches. Me and Kevin the delivery driver are on a first name basis.

  4. Thanks for publishing this list! We live in St Louis and our 10 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with celiac disease. Cooking at home is easy enough but finding restaurants you trust that serve food a 10 year old will eat has been tough! We went to Pieces tonight and had a great experience! Thanks again!

  5. Good morning Hayley,
My name is Mayra Pacheco, and I’m the proud owner of Amaiz-ing Arepa Bar, a Latin (Venezuelan) restaurant located in the heart of St. Louis. I’m reaching out to inquire about how our restaurant can be included in your guide. We specialize in delicious, 100% gluten-free dishes, and I would love the opportunity to share them with a wider audience through your platform.

At Amaiz-ing Arepa Bar, we serve a variety of flavorful, handcrafted Venezuelan specialties, including:

Stuffed Arepas – Our signature dish. These golden cornmeal patties are grilled or fried to perfection and generously stuffed with a variety of fillings like shredded chicken and cheese, savory beef, or the classic Pabellón (a traditional combination of black beans, sweet plantains, cheese, and your choice of protein).

Patacón – A bold twist on the sandwich. Instead of bread, we use crispy green plantains as the base, stacking them high with ham, cheese, your choice of protein, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, crispy shoestring potatoes, and our house-made cilantro-garlic sauce.

We also offer crispy empanadas, hearty soups, and cachapas – sweet corn pancakes filled with melted cheese, a true Venezuelan comfort food.

All of our dishes, including condiments, are entirely gluten-free, ensuring that flavor and inclusivity go hand-in-hand.

    We are located at:

    500 N 14th Street
    St. Louis, MO 63103

I would love to learn more about the process of being featured in your guide and look forward to hearing from you.

    Warm regards,

  6. Hi, absolutely outstanding list! You could add
    el molino del sureste
Mexican refined food 100% GF! And very good. A lot of small tacos with unique flavors (not your typical cantina!)
